Are you a lover of lipstick? Today is your day! There are so many stores offering deals on lipstick today. MAC is offering free lipstick today at it’s retail stores if you get there early and wait in the lines!
Also check out your favorite direct sales consultant. I bet several are having special sales today as well! My personal favorite is LipSense, but there are tons of great options.
Why would I post about lipstick?
It’s all about looking pulled together when you are feeling like you are falling apart. Ever hear, “You look tired! Are you feeling well?” over and over again in a day? I do! Being a mom of 5 and business owner can do that to a person!
Here are my quick tips to avoid the “You look tired!” comments in 5 minutes or less:
Have a uniform for these days. My personal go to is either a t-shirt and jeggings (I don’t do the real pants) or a comfy dress. Just one thing to throw on and I can look and feel better about myself rather than wondering around the grocery store in my PJ pants and slippers.
Add cute shoes! I have a HUGE love of shoes and cute shoes can really go a long way. If I’m super tired and cranky, shoes can actually make me feel better. They don’t even need to be heals. I have super fun casual shoes. My favorites right now are Vans because the patterns! I’m either rocking the tropical ones or the flamingo ones these days.
Add some lip color! See here’s where national lipstick day fits in! Adding that little bit of color can go such a long way in brightening both your look and your mood.
Sunglasses! Hopefully it’s a sunny day when I feel extra tired, so I can throw on a pair of sunglasses to cover the dark circles under my eyes.
Throw on some fun jewelry! Jeans and a t-shirt doesn’t mean you can’t wear fun jewelry. Accessories take a boring outfit and make it stylish! The more tired I am, the bolder of a piece I grab!
I love being able to grab just a few quick things to make me feel less like a Mombie and more like myself! It brightens my look and my day! When I take just a couple minutes on self care, it goes beyond the look and changes my mood and my outlook on the day! I might still be tired and overwhelmed but I can handle the day so much better when I’ve taken that time for myself.
